Scenic Roads, Views, and Gateways

The Master Plan 2020 provides two maps which designates "scenic roads" and "scenic views". Although it is the intention that these scenic resources are provided special protection against developement and things that would degrade the view, such as cell towers, this designation rarely has any effect.

The map also designates two "scenic gateways" where Harford Rd and Belair Rd transitions from the "ugly" part to the "scenic" part of the county.

A portion of the State Highway Administration designated "Horses and Hounds" byway is shown in purple.

It is curious that Sunshine Ave, and most of Fork Rd, are not included as scenic roads or have any scenic views, while Bradshaw Rd between Belair Rd and Cedar (which is all in view of one of the worst looking properties in Kingsville) is designated as "scenic".
