ZIP Codes

ZIP codes were developed by the US Post Office in 1963 to aid in the delivery of mail. Due to the lack of towns in Baltimore County, people sometimes refer to where they live by ZIP Code. But this leads to confusion, since many ZIP Codes are considered to be "Baltimore", while they are really surrounding areas.

The Bradshaw P.O. ZIP code of 21021 has been discontinued and absorbed into 21087. It's probably only a matter of time before several other Kingsville area ZIP Codes will disappear, along with their post offices.

The map presented here is how the zones are shown on the Baltimore County MyNeighborhood website. For a different opinion on the zones, especially around Fork and Baldwin, see here! It seems that no one, including the local P.O., can agree on the actual boundaries.
