Zoning historyNone Nearby zoningAerial PhotoAnalysisThe Growth Tier 4 designation should prevent any major subdivision regardless of the zoning. But, if this is changed to RC5, it increases pressure on changing the Growth Tier from 4 to 3. (It is unknown what the process is for changing the Growth Tier designation, but it will certainly not be as public, or open, as the CZMP. It will likely be as hidden from public view as an "Administrative Action" as the original Tier designations a couple years ago and not even given to the County Council to decide.) CommentaryThere is no doubt that this request should be denied. It is a blatant attempt to crowd more houses into an area that would not support it. In fact, since it is mostly forested instead of farms, it should probably be changed to RC7 to better protect the Little Gunpowder, one of the few remaining streams in our area that is rated "Good". |
